“The Sleeping Doll” by Jeffery Deaver

Daniel Pell aka “son of Manson” was a convicted murderer. He was convicted for the murder of William Croyton and most of his family member s (wife and two children). Theresa Croyton escaped death because she was asleep hidden by her toys and therefore nicknamed the sleeping doll.

Dell was no ordinary criminal. He was very intelligent, widely read and believed to possess the flair for controlling people. Like a puppeteer he enjoys controlling people and being in control. From prison he orchestrated a daring break and finally escaped prison.

Though a step ahead of the police and the formidable police woman named Kathryn Dance, he knows that he has to remain a step ahead of her. He definitely has to stop her or else he will be killed or apprehended. He leaves a trail of murder and victims in his quest to remain out of jail and accomplish his quest mission of reaching his mountaintop.

Fast paced thriller with expertly thought out characters who are very realistic exhibiting flaws and strengths. “The Sleeping Doll” is one of the finest thrillers by one of the finest thriller authors of our time, Jeffery Deaver. Totally “unputdownwable” and beautifully plotted. The suspense is unending with unbelievable twist and turns until you reach the end.
